Analysis of the majority of investigations suggest that the presence of tumor cells in the bone marrow correlates with early disease recurrences and lower survival; to detect bone marrow tumor cells is one of the most important approaches to early identifying metastases and improving the results of treatment for breast cancer. The paper gives the results of an investigation conducted at the N.N. Aleksandrov Republican Research and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology in 2008 to 2014, which established that the presence of cancer cells in the bone marrow is a poor prognostic sign: the 3-year relapse-free survival of patients with the unaffected and affected bone marrow was 88.7 and 69.3 %, respectively (p &lt; 0.01).</p>
Н. Н. Александрова с 2008 по 2014 г., в ходе которого установлено, что наличие раковых клеток в костном мозге является неблагоприятным прогностическим признаком: 3-летняя безрецидивная выживаемость пациенток с непораженным костным мозгом составляет 88,7 %, с пораженным костным мозгом – 69,3 % (р &lt; 0,01).</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>breast cancer</kwd><kwd>micrometastases</kwd><kwd>tumor cells in bone marrow</kwd><kwd>polymerase chain reaction</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>рак молочной железы</kwd><kwd>микрометастазы</kwd><kwd>опухолевые клетки в костном мозге</kwd><kwd>полимеразная цепная реакция</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">1.
