The paper analyzes the incidence of cervical cancer, evaluates various methods of its treatment, provides a historical overview of the problem and describes own experience of using high dose-rate brachytherapy in various combinations for 74 patients with cervical cancer with assessing the toxicity, overall survival, local control and reactions to radiotherapy. 

В статье рассмотрена заболеваемость раком шейки матки, оценены различные методы лечения рака шейки матки с историческим обзором данной проблемы и представлен авторский опыт применения метода высокомощностной брахитерапии в различных комбинациях лечения 74 больных раком шейки матки с оценкой результатов по показателям токсичности лечения, общей выживаемости больных, локального контроля и лучевых реакций.
